GROCERY SHOPPING:

Strategies to implement:

Select recipes/meals and foods in advance, Avoid shopping at busy times, Avoid shopping when hungry, Do the bulk of your shopping in the perimeter of the store (that’s typically where you will find proteins, dairy and produce)

DINING OUT:

Tips when going out to eat:

Look at the menu ahead of time, have an idea of what to order ahead of time, Calorie cycle and borrow calories from other days of the week.

PARTIES/HOLIDAY EVENTS:

Some strategies to implement:

Offer to bring a healthy dish, have a light snack prior to the event, set a drink limit ahead of time, Eat mostly protein before event, Save your carbs and fats for the party, Calorie cycling works well here too!

HUNGER BETWEEN MEALS:

Write out a list of snacks to stick to that align with your goals, Prepare and pack snacks ahead of time for the week, Keep a healthy snack at your desk or in your bag for hunger in between meals, having high protein go-to snacks available, no calorie drinks.
