These popsicles pack 7 grams of protein each. And are only about 60 calories! Now that is a breakfast treat, fun snack, or bedtime sweet that I can feel good about.
These protein-packed popsicles require only 5 simple ingredients! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Vanilla Greek Yogurt: The base of this creamy summer treat is 1 cup greek yogurt! I like to use vanilla Greek yogurt for extra sweetness and flavour, but you could use any flavour you’d like. Or use plain yogurt to keep things low sugar.
- Almond Milk: You’ll also add 1/4 cup almond milk. For creamier popsicles, opt for a richer milk – maybe oat milk or regular dairy-filled milk. Since unsweetened almond milk is made with a lot of water, it can make these popsicles slightly icy.
- Mixed Berries: 1 cup of mixed berries gives these pops their scrumptious berry flavour and beautiful purple colour! I used a combination of fresh strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries. Alternatively, you could use any fresh fruit of your choice – perhaps mango, peaches, cherries, or banana.
- Honey: 1 tbsp honey gives these healthy popsicles the perfect touch of extra refined-sugar free sweetness.
- Vanilla Protein Powder: To give these popsicles the protein boost they are named for, you will need to add 1 serving of protein powder. I use vanilla, but chocolate protein powder would work too.
You can make so many different protein popsicle flavours here by switching up the protein powder, yogurt, and fruit you use.
