These banana oat bars are a hit with the kids and make a perfect on the go snack or easy breakfast. Additional ingredients can be added depending on preferences. Chocolate chips, nuts and seeds and berries are good additions to this recipe. Recipe makes 10.



  • 3 Bananas
  • 2 cups Rolled oats
  • 1 Tbsp Natural peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp Honey¬†
  • 1 Whole egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon


  1. Pre heat oven to 190 degrees and line a tray with baking paper.
  2. Mash bananas in a mixing bowl until there are no lumps.
  3. Add oats, peanut butter, honey and egg to the bananas and mix.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined and pour into tray.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes. The banana oat bars should be golden on top.
  6. Allow to cool before cutting into equal portions. Enjoy!
